Recently, Ava underwent a CT scan so doctors could carefully examine her progress and evaluate how well her body is responding to treatment. This important scan will help the medical team better understand the changes in the tumor and prepare the safest possible plan for her upcoming procedure.
Ava’s surgery will be a very complex and high-risk operation. Because of the location and size of the tumor, the procedure carries significant challenges and risks, including possible effects on important nerves, blood vessels, facial structures, and her ability to breathe safely. Our family continues to pray for wisdom and guidance for her doctors, as well as strength and protection for Ava throughout this difficult journey.
Despite everything she has faced, Ava continues to show incredible bravery and strength. Her courage inspires everyone around her, and we are thankful for every moment of progress, every treatment completed, and every sign of hope along the way.
